About Dr. Suman Lata

Dr. Suman Lata is a nationally and internationally trained nephrologist having more than 15 years of experience in practice. She has done her DM Nephrology training from AIIMS, New Delhi. She was also awarded an ISN fellowship from one of the leading transplant centres in London, United Kingdom. She established the Department of Nephrology & Renal Transplantation at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences an autonomous institute under the Government of Delhi. The renal unit was subsequently considered a leading centre of excellence for holistic Nephrology care in the region. Dr. Suman was also part of many research projects in the field of renal problems associated with Liver diseases. She was also instrumental in starting the DNB Nephrology training program at the Institute. She joined as Director of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Gurugram and Dharamshala Superspeciality Hospital, New Delhi in 2017. She was also instrumental in starting a Nephrology and kidney transplant program at both centres. Dr. Suman started the DNB Nephrology program at Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital. She worked as Director of Nephrology & Kidney Transplant at Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj and Fortis Shalimar Bagh from July 2022 “ March 2024. Dr. Suman has attended more than fifty national and international conferences and has been a part of many seminars, CMEs and symposiums as chairperson/speaker. She regularly takes public lectures and organizes public awareness programs. Dr. Suman believes in patient™s rights and ensures that her patients are aware of every aspect of the treatment/procedure.
