About Dr. K Ashok Kumar

Dr Karanam Ashok Kumar is one of the leading Oncologists in Hyderabad. Currently, Dr Ashok is working as a Consultant – Hematologist & BMT Specialist with American Oncology Institute, Hyderabad. He is an alumnus of the Sri Venkateshwara Medical College, Tirupati, and completed Master's in General Medicine from Nizams institute of medical sciences, Hyderabad. He also pursued and completed a specialty training program in Medical Oncology from Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences before taking over the role of Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Oncology. Dr Ashok later took up a post-doctoral fellowship in the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant program from the Christian Medical College, Vellore. He is one of the most experienced Bone Marrow Transplant Physicians, and his areas of expertise include treatment of Leukemia, Myelodysplastic Syndromes, Lymphomas, Multiple Myeloma, Amyloidosis, Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant, Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, Aplastic Anemia. He has done more than 350 transplants in both adults & Children.
