Dr. Shyam Sundar is a neurosurgeon with vast experience in the field of Neuroendoscopic surgeries and Neurovascular surgery. Known for his expertise in Minimally Invasive Brain Surgeries, he has been a professional member of the Neurological Society of India and the Skull Base Surgery Society of India. Dr. Shyam completed his MBBS in 1995 from the Medical College Hospital, Trivandrum. Subsequently, he went to complete his MS in General Surgery in 2000 and M.Ch in Neurosurgery in 2006 from the same college. He was also a Sugita Scholar at Nagoya University Japan in 2012, and was trained in Endoscopic Endonasal skullbase surgeries at UPMC Pittsburg, USA. His areas of expertise include Neuro endoscopic surgeries for pituitary tumors, Complex skull-base surgery, and Neurovascular surgery for aneurysms and AVMs. He is particularly interested in highly advanced neurosurgical work for brain mapping, brain and skull base tumors, and awake surgeries.
