Dr. Sita Jayalakshmi is at present working as a Consultant Neurologist at KIMS, Hyderabad, India. She had distinguished career as a Neurologist; having served in various capacities at prestigious tertiary care centers, she carries with her great expertise and thoroughness in patient care. She worked as additional professor of Neurology at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences and has nearly 20 years of experience as a neurologist. Dr. Sita has special interest in epilepsy and co-ordinates a comprehensive epilepsy surgery care programme at KIMS & their group has performed more than 750 epilepsy surgeries

Awarded the Japanese Society of Child Neurology (JSCN) award for excellent paper at the 14th Annual meeting of Infantile Seizure Society (2012) at Tokyo, Japan - for the paper on "outcome of epilepsy surgery in children with malformations of cortical development after evaluation with non-invasive protocol. Received the ASEPA-ASNA EEG Certification conducted by Asian Epilepsy Academy and ASEN Neurological Association. Certified as Outstanding student in the “Neuroimaging Course in Epilepsy" by the VIREPA (Virtual Epilepsy Academy), the site for distance education of the ILAE (International League Against Epilepsy). Also received best paper awards in many national meetings and conferences. Awarded the International Journal of Epilepsy Star of 2015 for her role as Associate editor, reviewer and author
