About Dr. Sudeep Koshy Kurien

Dr. Sudeep Koshy Kurien is a senior consultant in Interventional Cardiology at the best cardiology hospital in Calicut - Aster MIMS for the past 9 years. He has a keen interest in complex coronary and peripheral interventions and diagnosis and management of coronary and structural heart diseases. Along with his work, he takes an active part in teaching postgraduate students and improving social awareness about cardiovascular diseases. He has published several articles in national and international journals and conferences. He is fully trained in coronary angioplasty and has been the first operator in over 1500 PCIs predominantly radial angioplasty. He has fairly extensive experience in primary and rescue angioplasty, treating chronic total occlusions, bifurcation lesions, vein graft disease, and restenosis. He is proficient in techniques including direct coronary atherectomy and rotablation. He is also experienced in the use of distal protection devices, uses IVUS and FFR routinely. He has extensive exposure to the peripheral intervention and device implantation and has undertaken several renal angioplasties, superior mesenteric artery, subclavian artery, femoral/iliac angioplasty, IVC angioplasty, Pacemakers- Single Chamber and Dual Chamber, AICD and CRT Devices
